I think that imbibing beverages is part of the cruise experience, but, if you don’t have an unlimited beverage package your bill can climb quickly. Most of the cruise lines do not allow water, sodas or whiskey to be brought onto the ship. Carnival does allow a bottle of wine and a 12-pack of drinks per adult and when my family and I spent Christmas 2017 on the Carnival Dream and we stopped at Wal-Mart in New Orleans to get our beverage allowance. We tend to go overboard and we ended leaving two bottles of wine and at least a dozen drinks on the ship. Try not be like us your next cruise vacation. Be better than us!
